Industrial Byproduct Recycling
SCE has developed a range of recovery and reprocessing techniques for recycling industrial byproducts through the production process or for sale as mainstream products. These services are established in the Illawarra, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter and are available Australia wide.
SCE has conducted extensive research into agglomeration and briquetting techniques for industrial by-products, including heavy metals and other wastes which can be recycled for the recovery of valuable metals.
The technique of agglomeration of fine particles facilitates the handling of difficult byproducts and allows their recycling in the production process. This facilitates the recovery of otherwise lost primary resources and significantly reduces landfill costs.
Materials such as fine dusts and slags can be converted into manageable products for reuse in the production process, sale as mainstream construction products, use as aggregates or, as a last resort, safe landfill. Processes are developed in concert with the client to coordinate procedures specific to the client’s production needs.
All procedures are developed under the SCE Group corporate governance principles and are accredited under:ISO 9001:2008 - Quality Management Systems,
ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental Management Systems, and
AS/NZS 4801:2001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
