SCE Group operations cover a wide range of services and resources including on-site industrial and mining services; industrial byproducts recycling; aggregate and roadbase products; ready-mix concrete products and services; building demolition material recycling; slag based pavement materials (Steelstone); product screening and sizing operations; and short haul transport. SCE Group operates in industries that are often perceived as “environmentally unhealthy”. Heavy industries are seen as the source of much of the pollution problems of the world whilst mining and quarrying can be seen as despoilers of the physical environment. Currently our modern living standards demand products and services arising from these industries. However, the clients to whom SCE Group provides its services are major operators in Australia and take their environmental responsibilities very seriously as do SCE Group and its individual business units. SCE Group has an Environment Sustainability Programme which reports directly to the shareholders of the company. Its charter is to measure the carbon footprint of the Group and investigate and implement strategies and programmes to reduce the Group’s environmental impact.

SCE offers extensive experience and resources in all aspects of on-site industrial, steel and mining services in Australia with established operations in Wollongong and the Illawarra, Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter region. SCE ensures the delivery of efficient, cost effective and professional services to its clients. SCE industrial on-site services include materials handling, stockpile management, project and resource management, emplacement operations and the recovery and recycling of byproducts. SCE recovers and reprocesses industrial byproducts for recycling in the production process. SCE has developed a range of processes including fine dust agglomeration. SCE quarry operations are based at Bombo in the Illawarra, Hebden in the Hunter Valley and Nowra and Tomerong on the NSW South Coast. SCE produces crushed quarry aggregates for concrete manufacture, road bases and pavements, drainage material, landscape supply, crusher dusts, stemming aggregates for the mining industry and other blended materials.Readymix Concrete
SCE’s modern readymix concrete batch plants supply and service the Illawarra region's building industry from domestic to large scale residential and commercial projects. Concrete is delivered in both Maxi and Mini agitator trucks to meet client needs.Building & Demolition Material Recycling
SCE building material recycling operations receive demolition material for crushing, screening and blending processes producing aggregate products for the construction and landscaping industries. Operations are based in Wollongong to service the Illawarra and in Nowra to service the South Coast of NSW.Product Screening and Sizing
SCE specialises in the handling and screening of materials for further use in industrial production processes, bulk bagging and the manufacture of proprietary products under licence for international companies. SCE processes and blends Steelstone industrial slag aggregates in Newcastle servicing the Hunter and Central Coast regions and in Wollongong servicing the Sydney and Illawarra regions.
