SCE Group was established in 1961 in the Illawarra in NSW for the purpose of providing materials handling management and heavy mobile equipment supply to the local heavy industry in Port Kembla, NSW.

Through its entrepreneurial activities, SCE Group has evolved into a highly diversified organisation comprising businesses across South East Australia operating in diverse heavy industries and mining industries, in resource extraction and recovery and in aggregate sales and marketing.

SCE Group is privately owned with a closely held and long established equity base. The Management Team draws upon its experience in the steel, mining and other industries and selected specialist consultants. A management succession plan has been developed to ensure the continuity and growth of the Group.

SCE offers extensive experience and resources in all aspects of industrial, steel and mining services ensuring the delivery of efficient, cost effective and professional services to its clients.

Applying its expertise to manage the whole process, SCE Group optimises the allocation of resources and delivers reduced cost structures based on the principles of continual work practice improvement, thereby establishing a reputation as Bulk Materials Project Managers.

SCE Group has developed a Corporate Management System which documents the expectations of the Shareholders of the Group through the provision of an over-arching statement of policy and direction which ensures monitoring and compliance with these expectations and maintains corporate governance.

SCE Group and all its operations maintain accreditation under ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management Systems. Specific operations are accredited to ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental Management Systems and AS/NZS 4801:2001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems but all operations adhere to these principles through the policies of the Corporate Management System.
