SCE is a vital link in the rural supply chain for long-term customer Healthy Earth Fertilisers, delivering bulk fertilisers to farmers in rural and regional areas, including the Riverina region of NSW and Victoria, for the last five years.
Owned and operated by one of Australia’s oldest professional farming/horticultural families, Healthy Earth Fertilisers is actively involved in a diverse range of farming industries such as pasture, cropping, horticulture, floriculture, market gardening, citrus and stone fruit orchards and vineyards.
“We use our experience and advanced scientific technologies to make and provide great environmental fertilisers for both farmers and home gardeners,” Healthy Earth Managing Director Peter Jack explains.
Healthy Earth products are not only used in crops but also to improve livestock weight gain, fertility, wool quality, animal shape and general health.
“We’re a lean manufacturer so freight transport, particularly long distance, is one of the barriers to our farmers getting high end results at low cost.”
“SCE is quick to respond to our needs and they are very reliable. It’s great to be able to deliver value to our rural customers, especially now as many farmers have been affected by drought conditions,” Jack said.
SCE has access to a fleet of over 100 vehicles, including truck and dog, semi-trailer and B double combinations, ready to move bulk materials safely, quickly, cost effectively and compliantly.
"With bulk warehousing facilities adjacent to port facilities, we can store under cover or in open stockpiles, then distribute for our customers too," added SCE's Transport and Logistics Operations Manager, Paul Minogue.
